Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts Return With New Album Second Song

Neil Young has unveiled an 11-minute single to go along with the announcement of his next Chrome Hearts album Second Song. You can listen to the title track below. The LP, out September 18 on Reprise, features seven songs in total: five new and two unreleased dating back to the 1960s.

Second Song is the follow-up to last year’s Talkin to the Trees, the debut project from Young’s band the Chrome Hearts. The group recorded the new album at the same location (Shangri-La Studios) and with the same producers (Lou Adler, joined by “the Volume Delaers,” aka Young and Niko Bolas) as the first. It arrives three months after the clothing company Chrome Hearts dropped its trademark infringement claim against Young.
