The Bachelorette season 20 has finally arrived, but one of the 25 contestants, in particular, Kaleb Kim, has spurned curiosity about his football career. Premiering in June, The Bachelorette season 20 features Charity Lawson as the lovely lady in question, the fourth runner-up from Zach Shallcross’ season of The Bachelor. Kaleb, who had a football career before his appearance on the show, competed with 24 other men for Charity’s love.
Kaleb, an attractive man from Norcross, Georgia, caught some attention before the show’s premiere for his good looks and his previous football career. There’s a wide variety of potential suitors for Charity on The Bachelorette season 20, from scientists to attorneys from California to New York. Unfortunately, Kaleb didn’t have much time with Charity, and she eliminated him in episode 2. However, he certainly has an exciting past.
Kaleb Was An Offensive Lineman At Auburn University
According to Auburn Wire, Kaleb played football at Auburn University as an offensive lineman. He made 17 career starts at Center from 2015-2019. Interestingly, Charity also graduated from Auburn University. Kaleb’s ABC bio for The Bachelorette leans into his college football career, partially reading, “Put him in, coach! This former Division I football player spent many years bettering himself and is ready to take the next step and find true love…With a blue belt in jujitsu, Kaleb is excited to put his competitive edge to the test to win Charity’s heart. And a fellow Auburn Tiger alum, he may already have another leg up with Charity. Kaleb K., don’t drop the ball on this one!“
While Kaleb graduated from Auburn University in 2019, he hasn’t been as active on Instagram since graduation, so most of his recent photos highlight his football career at the esteemed university. His feed is filled with smiling photos of teammates and coaches; his football career at Auburn meant a lot to him. Now working in construction sales, according to Auburn Daily, Kaleb would like to one-day coach football. He also dreams of traveling to South Korea to learn about his heritage.
Although Kaleb’s impressive football career set him apart from some of the other Bachelorette contestants, he never found that spark with Charity. Since Kaleb and Charity both graduated from Auburn University, they already had something in common, but it was never addressed on the show. Kaleb didn’t have much screen time, but hopefully, he had the chance to speak to her in unaired scenes. He played his heart out during the episode 2 beach dodgeball group date, and his team won an after-party with Charity. However, he was never shown having one-on-one time with her. Perhaps Kaleb will get a second chance at love on Bachelor in Paradise season 9.
The Bachelorette airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EDT on ABC.
