Big Brother 25 host Julie Chen Moonves wonders why the houseguests have overlooked what a huge threat Cirie Fields is to their games and why they haven’t targeted her yet. In one of the first Big Brother 25 twists, Survivor legend and The Traitors season 1 winner Cirie was added to the cast as a 17th houseguest. Another twist was that she was secretly playing with her son, Jared Fields. Although many of the houseguests knew about Cirie’s incredible reality television past, she really hasn’t been a major target throughout the entire season.
In an interview with EW, Julie speculated about why the Big Brother 25 houseguests seem to have overlooked Cirie this season, and instead have nominated Felicia Cannon six times. Julie wondered, “Are they starstruck by her? Did she mist them with her charm? Don’t they know who they’re dealing with?” Although Julie acknowledged that Cirie hasn’t won any competitions so far this season, she also recognizes that she has an impeccable social game. She explained, “She is non-threatening because she hasn’t won any competitions, but her strength is her easygoing laid-back attitude. Watch out… she could win!”
What Will Happen If Big Brother 25 Final 4 Alliance Sticks Together?
Julie also spoke about the Final 4 alliance among Cirie, Felicia, Jag Bains, and Matt Klotz, and if they’ll finally target each other now that there are only five houseguests left. With Bowie Jane as the only non-member of the alliance, she could be the next target. However, things could easily change. Julie explained, “They look destined to be [the] final four unless Bowie Jane wins the next veto. Then who’s to say who’s on whose side? Maybe it’ll become Matt and Cirie vs. Jag and Felicia. Expect the unexpected!”
Julie’s right that it’s baffling that most of the houseguests haven’t really targeted Cirie this season. When Cameron Hardin wanted to backdoor her, Jared had won the Power of Veto, so Cameron unknowingly revealed his plan to her own son, who protected her. It makes sense that Jared worked hard to shield his mom, but some of the other houseguests have been completely loyal to Cirie, even when it was bad for their own games. Izzy Gleicher, who immediately recognized Cirie and Jared as mother and son because she’s such a big fan, was even willing to not use the Power of Veto to save herself from the chopping block if it meant that Cirie would be backdoored.
Now that the Big Brother 25 Final 4 alliance will have to target each other, it might make sense for Matt to turn on Jag, as he told Cirie he would, and stick with her. While she might have a great social game, Matt has won more competitions, and could most likely win the $750,000 grand prize if he sat next to her in the Final 2. As Julie reminded everyone, the houseguests and viewers should always “expect the unexpected,” so anything could happen before finale night.
Big Brother 25 airs Sundays at 10 p.m. EDT, Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EDT, and Thursdays at 9 p.m. EDT on CBS.
