Watch Perfume Genius Perform “It’s a Mirror” on Fallon

Perfume Genius stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday (April 3), where Mike Hadreas and his band performed “It’s a Mirror” from his new album Glory. Hadreas commenced the performance sprawled across a rotating chair, then walked downstage amid billowing fog for a live rendition of the track. Hadreas’ longtime collaborator and partner Alan Wyffels was on keys, while a number of the musicians who recorded on Glory filled out the live band. Watch it happen below.

Glory is Perfume Genius’ follow-up to 2022’s Ugly Season. The new album was produced by frequent collaborator Blake Mills, and includes the single “No Front Teeth,” Hadreas’ latest song with Aldous Harding. Perfume Genius will kick off a tour behind Glory next month.

Revisit “Perfume Genius Becomes a Dancer and Brings His Slippery Universe to Life.”
