Jennifer Lopez was the musical guest on the February 3 episode of Saturday Night Live, where she brought out Redman and Latto during a performance of her recent single â€ÅCan’t Get Enough.†Lopez returned to the stage later and debuted a new ballad called â€ÅThis Is Me…Nowâ€Ââ€â€the title track of her forthcoming album. Watch both of Lopez’s performances on the Ayo Edebiri–hosted episode below.
While Lopez did not appear in any SNL sketches, one titled â€ÅWhy’d You Say It†alluded to a podcast episode from four years ago in which Edebiri referred to Lopez’s career as a â€Åscam.†The SNL skit revolved around a gameshow whose contestants are confronted with mean Instagram comments they’ve left in the past.
At one point, Edebiri’s character says: â€ÅOK, OK, we get it. It’s wrong to leave mean comments or post comments just for clout or run your mouth on a podcast and you don’t consider the impact because you’re 24 and stupid. But I think I speak for everyone when I say from now on, we’re going to be a lot more thoughtful about what we post online!â€Â
Jennifer Lopez’s This Is Me…Now is out February 16. Read more about it in â€ÅThe 50 Most Anticipated Albums of 2024.â€Â
