Cruz Beckham made a surprise appearance during The Kooks‘ headline show at Rock N Roll Circus Norwich – watch footage below.

The 21-year-old musician – son of David and Victoria Beckham – had played earlier in the day with his band The Breakers at the Earlham Park event yesterday (August 22).

He ended up returning to the stage during The Kooks’ headline set, playing guitar and sharing vocals with frontman Luke Pritchard on the ‘Inside In/Inside Out’ track ‘Jackie Big Tits’.

The Kooks were playing their 2006 debut album in full as part of their tour celebrating its 20th anniversary, and the Rock N Roll Circus bill also saw The Vaccines and The Fratellis playing their respective debut albums ‘What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?’ and ‘Costello Music’ in full.

Watch fan-captured footage of the collaboration here:

Last year, Pritchard revealed that he and Beckham had been writing songs together. “He has really good taste in music,” the Kooks singer said at the time, adding that they had bonded over their shared love of the early work of the Bee Gees.

Pritchard also praised Beckham’s response to the accusations of nepotism against him. “It was great when he said, ‘Jesus was a nepo baby too’. I thought that was quite a funny response,” Pritchard said.

Beckham released his debut EP ‘Wear & Tear’ on Friday (August 21), having launched his music career last year with the double A-side ‘Optics’ and ‘Lick The Toad’. He has since released the singles ‘For Your Love‘ and ‘Waste Your Pain‘.

Both Beckham and The Kooks will appear at Rock N Roll Circus in Sheffield’s Don Valley Bowl on Thursday (August 27), on a bill that will also include Richard Ashcroft, The Streets, Babyshambles, The Molotovs and more. Beckham and The Breakers are also on the bill for Reading & Leeds next weekend.

Rock N Roll Circus Norwich, meanwhile, concludes tonight (August 23), with Madness headlining a bill that also includes Ocean Colour Scene, The Wailers, The Selecter and David Rodigan.

Earlier this summer, Lewis Capaldi brought out Pritchard to cover The Kooks’ ‘Naive’ during his headline show at BST Hyde Park, describing it as “one of the best songs ever written”.
