Dylan Dreyer has been soaking up the sun with her kids during her current Today break.
Dreyer has been absent from the NBC morning show all week. The meteorologist is one of several hosts taking time off from the show, including Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin, Al Roker, and Carson Daly.
While the reason for Dreyer’s absence hasn’t been shared on the show, Dreyer has shared through several social media posts that she’s been enjoying a summer break with her three kids. “If you want to live dangerously, paint your toenails surrounded by boys,” she hilariously captioned Instagram photos of herself painting her toenails as her sons enjoyed popsicles on Saturday, July 25.
In the post’s comments, one person joked, “If you really want to live dangerously, let your boys paint their toenails with their sister.” Another added, “If you want to live dangerously, let small children, boys or girls, do the painting.” Someone else quipped, “The life with boys, can be crazy fun.”
In a Tuesday, July 28, Instagram post, Dreyer shared a sweet snap of her sons smiling for the camera while swimming in a pool. The post also included a hilarious video of Dreyer convincing her kids to pose for the pic. “Took a few tries but we got there!” she captioned the upload.
In the video, Dreyer can be heard saying, “Guys, please? Guys, one picture. Just one. Please?” At one point, Dreyer’s middle child, son Oliver, tells his brothers, “Stop fighting!”
Fans related to Dreyer’s funny parenting moment in the post’s comments. “The ‘please’ bring back memories trying to get my 3 to look,” one fan wrote. Another added, “It’s like herding cats! I know this feeling; trying to get my grandchildren to pose and smile at the same time.” Someone else said, “As the mother of 4 boys, I understand, Mine are grown. I miss those days.”

Dreyer shares her three sons — Calvin, Oliver, and Rusty — with her estranged husband, Brian Fichera. Dreyer announced the pair’s separation in July 2025 and officially filed for divorce back in March.
