The Haim Sisters Revealed Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez’s Relationship Status Amid Matt Healy Rumor

Taylor Swift released the music video for her song “I Can See You” this week as she rolls out the re-release of her studio album, Speak Now (Taylor’s Version). In the video, her former boyfriend Taylor Lautner stars as a special agent of some kind, busting Swift out of a literal vault with the help of Joey King and Presley Cash. The promotion around the album and video has perhaps unintentionally revealed more about Swift’s current private life than she intended.

Swift’s love life has been very much in the news after she split with her ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn after six years together this spring. Soon after, she was seen with Matty Healy of the 1975, and it seemed like they immediately sprung into a pretty serious rebound relationship. It was then reported in June that she and Healy had broken up as they realized they didn’t have much in common.

But, earlier this week, the Sun reported that Swift and Healy were back together again. People refuted the claims, with a source telling them, “She is enjoying being single and has been spending time in the studio and hanging out with friends in New York City.”

Those friends are supporting the idea that Swift really is single with some revealing posts. It started when the “Bad Blood” singer shared some snaps on July 7 of her with friends around the July 4th weekend, including the Haim sisters and some Polaroids with bestie Selena Gomez. Some fans think the pics are a reference to her album 1989, and in conjunction with the new music video, imply that will be her next re-release.

“Happy belated Independence Day from your local neighborhood independent girlies,” Swift wrote in the caption. Could the word “independent” be one of her famous Easter Eggs pointing to singleness?

Then the Haims reposted some of Swift’s pics with the caption “single summer.”

They then moved them to the Stories with captions reading, “Single summer girls,” and “Single summer never looked so good.”

The Haim sisters seem to see themselves as single, and perhaps Swift does, too. It has been rumored that Gomez is dating The Bear star Jeremy Allen White, but there have been no confirmations. Let single summer reign.
