Art often finds itself holding a mirror up to society and in these chaotic, uncertain times, it almost seems fitting that a dystopian tale of government paranoia and regulations should be on the movie fast track.
Tessa Thompson (‘Hedda’), Owen Cooper (‘Adolescence’) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’) are all aboard to lead the cast of new pic ‘Foxfinder’.
Aoife McArdle, who has directed on various music videos and been Emmy nominated for her work on ‘Severance’, will call the shots for the new film, having worked on the adaptation of Dawn King’s play with the playwright herself.

What’s the story of ‘Foxfinder’?

King’s play won the 2011 Papatango New Writing Prize, and the story follows Jude and Sam, a grieving couple clinging to routine and survival, whose lives are upended when William, a coldly devout government “foxfinder,” arrives at their struggling farm with a mission to root out the designated enemy — the fox. As paranoia festers and absurd regulations tighten their grip, suspicion replaces love, and truth itself begins to warp.
Production is set to begin in Germany, with filming taking place in Bavaria this summer.

Thompson, who might be best known for the ‘Creed’ movies and playing Valkyrie in the MCU, is attached to a few upcoming movies and TV shows including ‘Next Door’ and ‘Later the War’. She’ll also likely be back as Bianca for ‘Creed IV’.
Cooper, who had a breakout performance in ‘Adolescence’, has since worked on ‘Wuthering Heights’ and will be seen in historical thriller ‘Cry to Heaven’.
Moss-Bachrach will return as Richie for the next (and likely final) season of ‘The Bear’ and is confirmed to reprise his ‘Fantastic Four’ role as Ben Grimm in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’.
