Stanley Simmons – sons of KISS’ Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons – announce debut album, ‘Dancing While The World Is Ending’

Stanley Simmons, the group made up of the sons of KISS’ Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, have announced their debut album.

Evan Stanley and Nick Simmons first revealed early last year that they were working together on the project, saying at that time that they had written and recorded 10 songs together.

Now, they have revealed that their album ‘Dancing While The World Is Ending’ will be released on August 28 (pre-order here), and they have given a taste of it with the singles ‘Body Down’ and the title track.

The music so far is much more in the folk rock tradition than the glam metal of their fathers’ band, following on from their on-stage cover of Simon & Garfunkel’s ‘The Sound Of Silence’ back in 2024.

Check out the songs so far here:

Stanley Simmons are set to play their first ever live show tonight (May 4) in San Diego, California, with three further shows in the same state to come – find any remaining tickets here.

Stanley Simmons – ‘Dancing While The World Is Ending’ tracklist:

    1. ‘Body Down’
    2. ‘Dancing While The World Is Ending’
    3. ‘Starve The Beast’
    4. ‘Running Just A Little Too Long’
    5. ‘Cellophane’
    6. ‘Cold’
    7. ‘Lilith’
    8. ‘Dystopia Boogie’
    9. ‘Temporary Love’
    10. ‘Real Life’
    11. ‘Love Real Slow’
    12. ‘Sing Myself To Sleep’

As for KISS, the launch date for their Las Vegas avatar shows has been tentatively scheduled for 2028. Production will be overseen by Pophouse Entertainment, the company behind ABBA’s ‘Voyage’ show.

At the final show of their farewell tour in Madison Square Garden in December 2023, the band shared that their “new era” would involve live shows where they would be replaced by their digital avatars. The holograms also debuted at that gig, where they performed ‘God Gave Rock And Roll To You’ after the real band left the stage.

Shortly afterwards, Gene Simmons said that the avatars would “get better” after a less-than-enthusiastic public response, and he said that “about 200 million” dollars was being invested in the technology.
