In addition to the video sneak peek that signals a potential new type of trouble for Teddy Altman (Kim Raver) and Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd), ABC has also revealed first-look photos at next Thursday’s (March 26) new episode, and it looks like the chief emeritus himself will be stepping up in a big way for a colleague in need… again.

In the below images from the episode, titled “Take Me to the River,” Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.) can be seen in a barbershop not unlike the one he dreamed of while he was under the knife for prostate cancer surgery, and who’s with him there but Lucas Adams (Niko Terho).

Lucas is, of course, still reeling from his anger and grief over the death of the patient Katie (Samantha Marie Ware), with whom he had developed a friendship and almost-romance while she was undergoing an experimental treatment that was later canceled due to government budget cuts. As seen in Thursday’s episode, he blames Simone Griffith (Alexis Floyd) for taking away the drainage supplies he wanted to treat her with, despite Miranda Bailey’s (Chandra Wilson) protestations, because it meant he was at the hospital getting new supplies from Dani Spencer (Jade Pettyjohn) at the moment when Katie died, instead of at her bedside.

In the pictures below, though, it looks like Lucas will find at least some consolation out in the field with Richard.

Richard will be continuing his mission to inform others about the dangers of prostate cancer to encourage screenings. Though his initial attempt to raise awareness of the issue with a pop-up event at the hospital was unsuccessful, it appears he won’t give up. And maybe that’s just the kind of moxie Lucas needs right about now.
