Listen, we’ve all been through a lot in 2025, which is why now more than ever, we can all relate to Deadpool, our favorite superhuman anti-hero from Marvel comics and movies. And now we can get through our day with affirmations from the legend himself in the book Deadpool’s Affirmations. You can expect words of encouragement, such as, “You are truly beautiful on the inside, as I shall soon prove with my katana.” Check out a cover reveal and a sneak peek at its insides here! Deadpool’s Affirmations will be available everywhere books are sold on October 28.

Universal is adapting Amy Tintera’s bestselling thriller Listen for the Lie into a TV drama series. The novel tells the story of Lucy, a woman suspected of murdering her best friend, Savvy, and desperately wants to hunt down the real killer. The series will be written by Rachel Shukert (Nine Perfect Strangers, The Baby-Sitters Club) and executive produced by Amy Tintera, Rachel Shukert, and Dinner Party Productions’ Sue Naegle and Ali Krug.

You might recognize author Shanora Williams from her bestselling romance and thriller titles. But with her next novel, Williams is heading into romantasy territory, and you can check out the cover of the upcoming novel right now! Publisher Red Tower Books describes Williams’s Mayhem and the Mortal as “Dungeons & Dragons meets The Wizard of Oz.” Intrigued? The book hits shelves on October 7.

Actors everywhere are expressing their interest in Luca Guadagnino’s upcoming remake of American Psycho, based on the novel of the same name by Bret Easton Ellis. Patrick Schwarzenegger, who recently starred in the third season of White Lotus, posted that he would “love nothing more” than to take on the role of Patrick Bateman. There have also been whispers that Austin Butler (Elvis) might be up for the role, but the film’s casting director, Kerry Barden, suggested Butler might be better as the character Paul Allen. Meanwhile, Chloë Sevigny, who played Patrick Bateman’s secretary in the original 2000 movie adaptation, has said she’d love to reprise her role. However, Guadagnino told her he would “think of something else” for her. Casting for the film is currently underway, so we’ll just have to wait and see!
