Sixteen-year-old singer-songwriter Brooklyn Dylan is stepping boldly into the spotlight with the release of her fiery new single “Bad Blood”—a heartbreak anthem that blends raw vulnerability with a stadium-ready rock-pop punch. With a voice bigger than her 5’ frame and a writing style far beyond her years, Brooklyn is quickly emerging as one of Gen Z’s most compelling new artists.
Inspired by a breakup that ended with the classic line, “It’s not you, it’s me… we can still be friends,” Brooklyn turned her pain into a power anthem.
“I went home and cried my eyes out,” she says. “Then I realized it actually hurts less to hate you. ‘Bad Blood’ is that moment when you decide it’s easier to walk away angry than keep loving someone who doesn’t want you back. It’s a scream-in-your-car song.”
With a hybrid sound that fuses pop hooks, gritty guitars, and the emotional realness of Olivia Rodrigo, Paramore, and Avril Lavigne, Brooklyn Dylan is creating a sonic lane entirely her own.

A Voice Shaped by Survival, Storytelling & Midwestern Grit
Born and raised in Illinois, Brooklyn has performed on stages across the country since age eight—from New York Fashion Week to baseball stadiums, talent shows, festivals, live venues, and any room that would give her a mic.
But her artistry was truly forged through adversity.
At age 11, her home caught fire in the middle of the night.
Her family escaped with only their pajamas… and lost everything.
“I lost my guitar, my home, every single thing I owned,” she shares. “While we were homeless and trying to rebuild, music became my therapy. I must’ve played Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Stronger’ a thousand times.”
The experience ignited her drive to give back. She later authored the children’s book Operation Daymaker, now used in classrooms across Illinois to teach the power of kindness, community impact, and service. She regularly visits schools to speak, read, and perform for students.
“It doesn’t matter if I’m singing for second graders or thousands of people,” she says. “I know my voice can make someone feel something for a moment — and that’s what matters.”
A Real-Life Hannah Montana Era
Balancing high school life with a fast-rising music career, Brooklyn describes herself as “a real-life Hannah Montana” — equal parts cheerleader, songwriter, online creator, and rock-pop performer. Her content, especially her addicting TikTok GRWMs and behind-the-scenes vlogs, has built a rapidly growing fanbase who connect deeply to her honesty, humor, and unfiltered teen-girl energy.
“When people listen to my music, I want them to feel understood,” she says. “Like their best friend is singing through the speakers. If you’re heartbroken? Girl, same — let’s scream about it.”
The Creative Force Behind ‘Bad Blood’
Brooklyn’s songwriting process is rooted in emotion and storytelling. Her notes app is overflowing with ideas, lyrics, and concepts, while voice memos capture guitar riffs and melodies at all hours.
She thrives in collaboration:
“Collaboration multiplies your strengths. I love blending different perspectives and turning everyone’s ideas into something magic.”
Fun fact: “All the teams I write with right now are guys,” she laughs. “I’d love to work with some female writers soon — but the guys do tap into their feminine energy pretty well because the songs still turn out amazing!”
