The powers that be (at Netflix) have spoken: another Bridgerton spinoff is in the works. In 2023, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story expanded the fictional world, and just ahead of Season 4’s premiere, executive producer Tom Verica confirmed, “I’ll say this, there have been characters that you have met before, ones that you were invested in, but again, we’re talking about different possibilities and, the great thing about having a cast this size is, there’s a lot of stories to dive into, but the particular ones we’re talking about, it’s going to be really, really enjoyable.”
When we sat down with Bridgerton author Julia Quinn, who novelized the Queen Charlotte novel after the show was created, she explained what story she’d most like to see in a new spinoff. This series could potentially delve into a certain character’s backstory, à la Queen Charlotte, or even adapt another one of her Regency romances. After all, Quinn has written more than one series about the neighbors of the Bridgertons.
