What To Know
- Fox News reporter Alexis McAdams was called a “Nazi b****” live on air by an ICE protester.
- The incident sparked heated reactions on social media.
- The protests, focused on alleged inadequate living conditions inside ICE facilities, have escalated in Newark, New Jersey.
An ICE protestor called out Fox News reporter Alexis McAdams live on air on Tuesday (May 27) during a segment from outside an ICE facility in Newark, New Jersey.
McAdams was reporting on the protest for The Will Cain Show when she turned her attention to one particular protester. “You are a protester who’s been out here, and you have a dirty mouth,” McAdams said as she repeatedly touched the woman’s shoulder.
“So that’s just what we deal with. So just for people that want to know what it’s like to cover these protests, it’s constant with this,” she added.
“The people inside are dying, and you’re lying!” the protestor could be heard saying off-mic.
McAdams continued, saying, “This is what these people do. They want people who are in this country illegally to be released out onto the streets. DHS says that’s what they’re gonna not be doing.”
“You’re a f****** Nazi b****,” the protestor shouted.
McAdams then put the microphone to the woman’s mouth as she continued to shout, “Nazi b****! Nazi b****, that’s what you are!”

Back in the studio, Will Cain commented on the incident, saying, “That is an eloquent argument made against the presence of Alexis McAdams reporting on what’s happening there outside of Newark. Stay safe, Alexis.”
Viewers reacted on social media, with many defending the protestor, including one X user who wrote, “Saying what a lot of people feel about these fake ass ‘reporters’ from Fox ‘News’…. salute.”
“First of all, reporters should not be putting their hands on ANYBODY!! Secondly, people yell at the Nazi b**** because she works for Fox,” said another.
“Not a reporter she went there to antagonize protesters and make headlines,” another added.
Another wrote, “Soooo she’s not a reporter? Why would you go to antagonize a protestor and then get defensive when they retaliate? That’s not what a reporter does. Fox “News” will never be news.”
“No credible reporter should ever act or speak like that woman — but she’s from Fox so that’s par for the course, I guess,” wrote one commenter.
Others, however, sided with McAdams, including one X user who wrote, “When the conversation devolves into name-calling, the actual humanitarian crisis inside the facility gets completely lost.”
“Hope ICE continues to ignore the stupid protestors,” said another.
“Typical protestor. Don’t these idiots have jobs? Let ICE do their job,” another added.
Demonstrators are protesting against what they say are inadequate living standards inside ICE facilities. The protests in Newark have grown particularly tense this week, with Sen. Andy Kim (D-NJ) being pepper-sprayed during a confrontation on Monday (May 25).
